Eastern Anatolia is one of the seven officially recognized regions of Turkey. The region includes some of the oldest areas of Turkey, and was heavily influenced by Persian, Armenian, and other cultures. Eastern Anatolia is home to numerous castles as well as ancient ruins. The region also offers some spectacular natural scenery including Mt. Ararat, Turkey's highest mountain, and the wondeous saline Lake Van, the largest of Turkey's lakes and the site of an important recent archaeological find of the ruins of a city beneath its waters. Here is a collection of the best drone videos from this crossroads area of Turkey. Please note that this collection also includes the smaller Southeast Anatolia Region.
