Take in these stunning drone views of a canyon of the Tigris River in southeastern Turkey, compliments of AirVuz contributor Esra Kaya. The canyon is located on a bend in the great river near the town of Sulak in Şırnak Province, which lies along Turkey's southeastern borders with Iraq and Syria. The Tigris River is one of the two great waterways (along with the Euphrates River, which runs to its west) which defined the historical region of Mesopotamia, considered the birthplace of civilization.
