Central Asia is sometimes known as the Land of the 'Stans. The region, historically critical to the Silk Road connecting Europe to the Far East and India, includes Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekisan. With few large cities, much of it consists of vast deserts and spectacularly vertical areas including some of the world's highest mountains. This collection of drone videos from Central Asia will give you a bird's eye perspective of this remarkably beautiful world, most of which was formerly part of the Russian Empire in Imperial and later Communist form.
