“The War” is a film five years in the making, which represents my personal transformation from loneliness to empowerment and self-discovery. Throughout my life, I faced a deep struggle with loneliness —a battle reflected in the song lyrics that underscores the film, while the stunning visuals of nature capture the momentum behind my transformation in overcoming it and transforming it into solitude. Each landscape in the film was thoughtfully chosen to fit with the song's lyrics, which took me five years to complete in eight different countries including China, Venezuela, the Dolomites in Italy and more. The contrast between the song and the visuals highlights how nature helped me overcome my struggles, pushing me toward new dimensions of possibility and self-discovery.
