For me this is the most beautiful part of Shetland: Those cliffs just scream at you to fly fpv - and the line from 1.33 to 1.56 is maybe the one I like best of all my flights so far.
The video however starts with Jarlshof, a place inhabited without any long breaks from around 2.500 BC to 1600 AD. The presentation is very well done but I couldn't fly there as it is right next to Sumburgh Airport. Next is Scalloway Castle, built by Patrick Stewart around 1600. It was closed when we were there. A bit further south on the west coast is the tidal island of St. Ninian's with the gorgeous beach and scant remains of a chapel. After that I finally show you Eshaness, north west coast of Mainland with a "secret" spot a few hundred meters further - thank you, Valley B&B, for the tip. And then the sun comes out... At 2.02 I lose video and frantically push the throttle up - quite like the move now.We finish off at the southern tip of Mainland: Ness of Burgi, a "block house" of prehistoric times. I didn't dare fly there because of the nearby airport. Drones: DJI FPV drone (GoPro 10), Rekon 5 (GoPro 6), DJI Mini 2, additional footage DJI Osmo Pocket, iPhone 13 Pro Max.
