Playful Polar Bear

In this outstanding video, you'll see a graceful polar bear playfully blissfully in the semi-frozen waters of the Arctic Ocean. Unfortunately, this particular bear (a three-and-a-half year old female) passed away in the summer of 2023. The cause of death was unknown but was believed to be disease of some form.

Once the harsh winter is gone, when come the good and easier days, we often encounter bears swimming by the ice edge. Polar bears are extremely capable of having fun alone with whatever they find. Unfortunately, this lovely female of only 3,5 years old passed away on June 9th this year. The reason remains unknown but it looks like she had a disease.
