L'île d'or Le Dramont - Saint Raphael

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Check out this drone video of a famous private island of the French Riviera, compliments of AirVuz contributor Kevin_coul. It's called the Island of Gold (Île d'Or), and it's part of the town of Saint-Raphaël in the department of Var. The town was first sold by the French government to a private citizen in 1867, who then lost it in a card game; the new owner built the island's tower in 1912. The island is believed to be the inspiration for the Black Island in the Rin Tin Tin comic series by famed Belgian cartoonist know as Hergé.
