Ce pont à charpente métallique constitue un des plus importants symboles de la ville de Trois-Rivières et de la région de la Mauricie. Reliant la ville de Trois-Rivières à la rive sud du Fleuve Saint-Laurent via l'autoroute 55, il est le seul pont reliant les deux rives entre Montréal et Québec. 

This steel-framed bridge is one of the most important symbols of the city of Trois-Rivières and the Mauricie region. Connecting the city of Trois-Rivières to the south shore of the St. Lawrence River via Highway 55, it is the only bridge connecting the two shores between Montreal and Quebec.
