Hiroshima Castle

Check out this excellent drone video of Japan's Hiroshima Castle, compliments of dannyb313.  The original castle was built in the late 16th century by the feudal warlord Mōri Terumoto.  On August 6, 1945, the castle was destroyed by the first of two American atomic bombs dropped on Japan, leading to its surrender and the end of World War II; the bomb detonated at an altitude of about 1.9k ft. (around 580 m) above the Shima Surgical Clinic, less than 1000 meters/yards south of the castle.  Hiroshima Castle was rebuilt in the 1950's.
