Gomal Zam Dam is located on the Gomal River in the northwestern part of Pakistan. The Gomal River is a tributary of the Indus River, the country's most important waterway. The gravity dam serves several purposes, namely irrigation, flood control, and hydroelectric power generation. The massive project was completed in 2011, and is considered a showpiece infrastructure project in this massive country.
