Epic Texas || Extreme Kite boarding || Cinematic FPV

While shooting "The Living Coast" I had the opportunity to film some incredible footage in Sargent, and Surfside Texas. Sargent was an incredible surprise. Sargent is a narrow barrier island with the Gulf of Mexico on one side and a shipping channel on the other. Past the shipping channel is the protected wetlands of San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge. The natural beauty of the Gulf coast is amazing. Constant 20 mph winds may not be good for drone flying. The wind is perfect for kiteboarding. I was impressed with the dedication and commitment it takes to kiteboard. Harnessing the power of the wind is impressive. We used a chase vehicle and drove up the coast a 1/4 mile to film. We would film for a while then hop in and go farther down the coast, wait for them and film. We did this for 2mi. finally picking them up and bringing them home. What a great group of people we stayed with. I can't say enough about the hospitality I was shown. I was literally staying at a beach house with an infinity pool! Great food and great people. The rest of the footage was shot in Surfside Texas. Surfside is an incredible place. Featuring a massive jetty, Surfside Beach, Jetty Park, and the Freeport Harbor shipping channel. In one place you can see massive ships, surfing, and fishing all in one place. I have 5 days' worth of footage. I wanted to start with this video because I have always wanted to do a high-energy edit. so much more Cinematic footage to come. What a great adventure. Truly Stoked! The only downside was I lost one of my quads to the water. It had a GoPro Hero 7 and an entire day's worth of footage in it. Something just went wrong. We may never know why it went down. Sort of hard to swallow given I never crashed. We looked and looked but it was never found. This was the most expensive loss I have had with drones.
