cinematic fpv when Rome Awakens: Sunrise Over Castel Sant’Angelo

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

In this FPV drone video by AirVuz contributor AlexCarboni FPV, you'll take an aerial tour of one of the most important buildings in Rome, Italy: the Castel Sant'Angelo.  Also known as Hadrian's Mausoleum in reference to the Emperor who ordered its construction in the second century AD, the structure is located on the northern side (right bank) of the Tiber River, just east of the Vatican City.  Originally a tomb, it was later converted to a fortress due to its strategic location, and during the Middle Ages it was a papal residency.

BADGES THIS VIDEO HAS EARNED:

Flying over Rome at sunrise is something I’ll never forget. With my FPV drone, I captured the quiet majesty of Castel Sant’Angelo as the Eternal City slowly awakened. The golden light, the empty streets, and the timeless architecture created a cinematic moment that felt almost sacred.

This flight was not only a creative dream

it was also the result of careful planning, respect for local regulations, and official authorization. Flying a drone in such a historic and sensitive area requires proper permits and a deep sense of responsibility.

Choosing the early morning hours was essential: not just for the magical light, but to ensure safety, minimal disturbance, and full compliance with airspace rules.

Grateful for the opportunity to share this perspective of Rome where history meets the sky.
