Chasing an Avalanche. Alta, Utah
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Worthfpv was able to capture a phenomenon rarely seen on video: an actual avalanche. Working with the Utah Avalanche Center and the appropriate local authorities, he received permission to fly over the sliding snow near the famed Alta ski resort. Fortunately, no injuries or damage resulted from this particular avalanche, and the footage is absolutely mesmerizing. This video was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in March of 2023.

This was done while the Town of Alta was in interlodge and would be ILLEGAL for anyone to be outside during this time. None of the buildings were hit by this avalanche.
