AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : When it was opened in 1912, the Panama Canal represented one of the great feats of human engineering up until that time. The 80 km (50 mi) waterway hacked out of the Panama Jungle connects the Atlantic (via the Caribbean Sea) and Pacific Oceans, shortening many routes by thousands of mi/km. In this excellent drone video by AirVuz contributor Damiano862, you'll get an aerial view of a large containership making its passage through the great waterway, which was recently deepened to allow for the passage of larger ships.
