Check out this amazing drone video from the Verbier Extreme, one of the world's premiere freeride skiing and snowboarding events. It's held on the mountain of Bec des Rosses, a member of the Pennine Alps which is part of the famous Verbier resort. Located in the southwestern Canton of Valais, Verbier is generally recognized as one of the world's best backcountry freeride skiing spots. The event filmed was filmed by drone and helicopter and required extensive safety measures to protect the manned aircraft.

Publié par Julien Christe · 3 h · Verbier · During the Freeride World Tour final in Verbier, we were tasked to fly over the north face of the Bec des Rosses at the same time as the Cineflex helicopter. For safety reasons, our flight area was very restricted; a straight line at 5m off the ground in a slope at 45° inclination. It was quite challenge for us! We were positioned in the central corridor a 100m below the start, on a rocky spur where we've carved a platform to pilot the drone and sent live images to the control room.
