AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Mt. Rose Summit is a pass through the Carson Mountains near Reno, Nevada. The Carson's are considered a spur (a type of extension) of of the Sierra Nevada range, which run along the border between eastern California and western Nevada. With an altitude of about 2.7k meters above sea level (about 8.9k ft.), Mt. Rose Summit is the highest pass through the Sierra's which is open year round.
