Volcanic Lagoons
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Top contributor Postandfly created this stunning drone video of the volcanic crater lakes in the Mexican state of Puebla, a bit to the south and east of Mexico City. The three lagoons featured, in order, are Alchichica, Laguna de las Minas, and Atexcc. All three are by-products of the extensive volcanic activity in the area, which forms part of the great volcanic belt which runs through the mid-section of the country. The footage was captured with the DJI Mavic Pro 2 and Phantom 4 Pro drones.

These epic crater lakes were formed a long time ago due to the enormous volcanic activity in the area, they are located in the heart of the neovolcanic axis of Mexico. The first one is the largest is called Alchichica which has rock formations originated by microorganisms called stromatolites that are the most primitive life form of earth. Its appearance is similar to a coral reef. The second lake is called Laguna de las Minas, which has less salinity and therefore has much more presence of life. The third one is Atexcc is probably the most beautiful the colors of its waters are spectacular. For this vieo i use Mavic 2 Pro and Phantom 4 Pro
