The Rhone River is the most important waterway in Southern France.  The river rises in the Alps, runs on a generally western course to Lyon before turning south for the remainder of its 800+ km (just over 500 mi.) length.  The Rhone Valley is a stretch of its southerly course before the river breaks up into distributaries on the Rhone Delta.  In this drone video by Rafiki, you'll get an aerial view of some of the sights of the Rhone Valley, home to some of France's most famed winegrowing areas.
