Check out this first person view (FPV) drone video of one of the more curious landmarks of Rome, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Alessio Tricarico. It's called the City of Sport (La Vela di Calatrava) and it's part of a never-finished sports complex for the University of Rome. The project broke ground in 2005 and was supposed to host the 2009 World Swimming Championships. Due to a number of financial and construction set backs, the building still sits empty despite estimated expenditure of 660 million Euros.

Located in a south-eastern suburban zone of Rome, it had to be the main sport center for 2009 swimming world championship. As happened for many other structures related to this sport event, the building is still unfinished and almost abandoned. A classic Italian story of delay, increasing cost and shady peoples.
