USS Texas

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Contributor and drone pilot Bumble Bee Productions created this amazing aerial video of the USS Texas, one of the second generation Dreadnaught type battleships built for the United States Navy. The Texas was one of two New York class battleships built and deployed a few years prior to the country's entry into World War I. These ships were larger and better armed than the Wyoming class ships which preceded them. Both of the New York class ships featured massive 14 inch guns.

The USS Texas is an amazing site to experience. Knowing all that she went through in WWI and WWII and subsequent work just revels in history and nostalgia. This state park is an incredible tribute to this ship, its sailors and the Navy that protects our nation. The ship is in distress as engineers are doing everything to keep her afloat.
