Transalpina - The King's Road

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Former DVOW Winner Nelstill brings us this stunning drone video of Romania's Transalpina, the country's highest road.  Otherwise known is DN67C, the Transalpina runs a course of about 90 mi. (148 km) over the Urdele Pass through the Southern Carpathian Mountains and connects the regions of Transylvania and Wallachia.  The Transalpina was built during World War II, decades before the better-known Transfăgărășan (DN7C), which runs on a roughly parallel path through a different Capathian pass about 140 mi. (around 230 km) to the east.
