Town Perast

One of the treasures of Kotor Bay in the Balkan nation of Montenegro is the town of Perast. It lies on the northern side of the inner part of the bay, which is an inlet of the Adriatic Sea. Initially settled during the Neolithic period, the town of Perast was founded by Ilyrians during the Antiquity. Perast was heavily fortified during the centuries when most of the Adratic Sea was controlled by Venice.
