Tormakavank Monastery / Տորմակավանք 4K

Tormakavank monastery or Tormak church is a 5th century structure, located 2 km south of the village of Gyulagarak in Lori province, in the place of the old settlement called Tormakadur (Vermakador). Unfortunately, there is no exact etymology of the name. The church is now ruined, only the walls are preserved. It is included in the list of the historical and cultural monuments of Gyulagarak. Tormakavank monastery has one of the original and best examples of the monumental halls of Armenian architecture. HOW TO GET TORMAKAVANK MONASTERY FROM YEREVAN The well-established transport infrastructure of Armenia allows to get to Tormakavank Monastery by a private car or with the help of various travel companies which offer regular excursions and tours to different sights of the country.
