The Volcanoes of Lanzarote

AirVuz contributor Mark59 brings us this excellent drone video from the volcanoes on the Spanish island of Lanzarote.  Lanzarote is the easternmost (and northernmost) of the Canary Islands and is the closest of the chain to the mainland of North Africa, which lies only about 80 mi (around 125 km) away at its closest point.  Like the other Canaries, Lanzarote arose from eruptions on the floor of the Atlantic Ocean and is a comparative infant in geological terms, having emerged above the surface of the water about 15 million years ago.
