Its meteoric rise has been instrumental in propelling its hometown of Seattle, Washington into the ranks of the country's most prosperous cities. Perhaps the most visible symbol of the company's presence is the Amazon Spheres, three globe-shaped domes located on the headquarters campus in the North Denny neighborhood.
