Located in the southeastern part of the state, Moab is located atop the Colorado Plateau. The soil deposition and erosion and water flow patterns here created a whole series of spectacular formations from the underlying sandstone. The other-worldly landscapes here have been featured in countless movies and TV shows over the years, particularly Westerns.

Moab is a magical place just south of the Colorado River is Southern Utah. It sits at an elevation of 4,025 on the Colorado Plateau. The red rock landscape sits in stark contrast to the LaSal Mountains that rise above. Moab is close to Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park.
