'The Island'

One of the more prominent natural landmarks of Rome, Italy is Tiber Island.  Located in a bend in the river roughly equidistant from the Pantheon (to the north) and the Colosseum (to the east), it's the only island in the stretch of the river which flows through the Eternal City.  It's about 890 ft. long (270 meters) and about a quarter that distance in width, and it's connected to both sides of the river by bridge.  Check out the ancient island in this excellent drone video by former Drone Video of the Week Finalist Mauro Sciambi.
