It is in an area that is covered by the western portion of the great Appalachian Mountains range which parallels the USA's East Coast. The park features numerous hiking trails and is consistent with the reputation of the Appalachian region as being home to some of the best hiking spots in the country.

Hocking Hills, Ohio has caves, incredible rock formations, waterfalls, cabins, and perfect hiking, and really should be a MUST for anyone serious about visiting Ohio. We had an amazing time at "See More View" cabins near Grandma Fayes in Logan, OH. On a private farm of 40 acres, we had plenty of room to relax. They even had a hot tub, which we did use. We went in the early spring when it was still a little cold and rainy, but, it all worked out. Just bring some good hiking boots and you'll be fine. Thanks for watching.
