Contributor Gavinski created this beautiful aerial view of the islands of southern Thailand. Most of the video was shot around Phang Nga Bay, which is bordered by the provinces of Phuket and Krabi. The bay is considered an extension of the Andaman Sea. It's known in part for its hundreds of tiny islands, some of which are basically limestone rocks jutting up from the sea. The area has been a magnet for movie-makers for decades, ranging from the James Bond series to The Beach starring Leonard de Caprio.
