AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : The Tihaney Abbey is one of the more iconic sights of Hungary. It lies on the shores of Lake Balaton, on a peninsula which effectively divides Central Europe's largest lake. Seen in this drone video by tom g bp, it's a Benedictine monastery which was established in the 11th century AD, early in the nearly 1,000 year run of the Kingdom of Hungary. Dedicated to the Holy Virgin and to Saint Bishop Aignan of Orleans, it's the final resting place of Andrew II; buried here in 1060, his is the only surviving grave of the early Hungarian kings.
