Spring Time in Snow Canyon

Check out this stunning drone video of a canyon in the Southwestern United States, compliments of contributor and pilot Allan Crawford. Snow Canyon is located in Washington County, the southwesternmost county of the state of Utah. Snow Canyon and its "sister" canyon West Canyon sit in the Snow Canyon State Park. The two canyons are notable in part for their fabulously colored rocks, which are part of the Navajo Sandstone formation that covers huge tracts across the region, as well as for its cinder cones and lava tubes.

Snow Canyon State park, located just outside of Saint George, Utah is known for its spectacular landscape and stunning blue sky. Similar to it's more famous cousin, Zion, the variegated rocks are composed of ancient, Jurassic age sandstones deposited in a large desert stretching from Wyoming to Arizona. Mountain Biking, road biking and hiking are all spectacular in the area...and of course photography.
