Spectacular Koh Phangan, Thailand

Ko Pha-ngan is located in the Gulf of Thailand, which separates the Malay Peninsula from the "mainland" of Thailand. It's situated in the Surani Province, well to the south of Phuket and Phang Nga Bay. Ko Pha-ngan is best known for its month-long Full Moon Party, as well as the setting for the Alex Garland's groundbreaking 1996 novel the Beach, subsequently made into a major motion picture starring Leonard di Caprio.
