Here's a beautiful aerial view of the mountains of the Mexican state of Hidlalgo, compliments of contributor Reyes Flores Q.  One of the 31 states of the Mexican federation, Hidalgo lies in the east-central part of the state, northeast of Mexico City.  Its western portion is covered by the Sierra Madre Oriental, a chain which runs down the eastern side of the country, roughly parallel to the eastern (Caribbean Sea) coastline as well as to the Sierra Madre Occidental chain which runs down the western side of the country.
