AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Kuwait's Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Causeway is one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects ever undertaken in the Middle East. Seen in this excellent drone video by The Drone Life PK, the just-completed bridge system spans Kuwait Bay in two places: a longer span between Kuwait City and the northern area of Subiya, and a shorter link connecting central KC to the Kuwait Entertainment City area near the head of the bay. The longer link measures 36 km (about 21 mi.), making it the world's fourth-longest bridge as of 2019.

The Sheikh Jaber Causeway, named after the late Sheikh Jaber Al Sabah who reigned during the Gulf War, is 36 kilometres long – making it the fourth-longest bridge in the world. Approximately 80 per cent of the bridge is over water and will connect Kuwait City to Subiya, where a 100-billion dollar mega-city is being built. The bridge also makes Kuwait’s largest island 30 minutes from the Gulf state’s capital, having previously been a nearly two-hour drive.
