See the famous North Coast 500 of Scotland by drone in this 4K film by pilot JoeriSmits. The 516-mile scenic route goes around the north coast of this northern region of the United Kingdom, looping around to begin and end at Inverness Castle. The route was created in 2015 to link many of the popular locations in the Scottish Highlands . This piece features some of the rolling hills, rocky coastline, and historic train tracks that make the area so famous. This video was a Drone Video of the Week finalist in November, 2019.

In November 2019, my father and I drove the route on our motorcycles. This video summarizes the beauty of the landscapes Scotland has to offer. The North Coast 500 is a 516-mile (830 km) scenic route around the north coast of Scotland, starting and ending at Inverness Castle. The route is also known as the NC500 and was launched in 2015, linking many features in the north Highlands of Scotland in one touring route.
