San Antonio de Padua parish

This year 2017, exactly on December 12, celebrates 90 years of the creation of the Parish of San Antonio de Padua, located in the 9th street in front of the Mercedes Park in a central area of ​​the capital Nortesantandereana.
Initially and before the earthquake of San José de Cúcuta in 1875 a chapel was erected in a lot located in the 11th street with avenues 7 and 8.
Thus, in 1927, thanks to the population growth of Cúcuta, the Archdiocese of Nueva Pamplona issued decree 120, creating the present parish of San Antonio de Padua.
With 90 years of history in our city, it continues its contribution in the evangelization of the families of the center of Cúcuta and the faithful devout to the Saint, and on June 13 this beautiful temple was delighted with its patron, perpetuating the Union and mercy as permanent signs of a living and dynamic community.
