Sliema is situated just north of the Grand Harbor on the eastern side of the island, just a bit northwest of the capital city Valletta. It's one of the more affluent towns in this small island nation, and its property prices are amongst Malta's highest. With a permanent population of around 20k, it's a popular getaway for residents of Malta as well for visitors from further afield.
