Roma Italia
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
As the Covid-19 coronavirus unleashed its full fury on Italy beginning in March, 2020, the country began a roughly two week process of adopting successively more stringent social distancing rules. While Rome was not as hard-hit as some of the country's northern regions, outdoor life in the national capital essentially ground to a halt by the end of the month. Contributor Luigi@Flyage, working with various news sources, managed to capture these eerie scenes from the Eternal City under lockdown.

During past weeks we've shot for news reports (fortunately the virus did not stop our work) and seeing our Rome so deserted and surreal, me (Luigi Zomparelli) and Mauro Pagliai have pictured it like this, with our beloved tricolor on every monument. Since 2010, we have had the luck to immortalize the immense beauty of our country with our drones. A privilege that we want to share with you all.
