Roma EUR - Night lights with a micro drone (Rome EUR)
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
See the EUR district of Rome, Italy by micro drone in this lovely night flight edit by pilot BigLombo FPV. Originally built by Benito Mussolini for the 1942 World’s Fair, the area was supposed to highlight and celebrate Fascism in Italy. However, the area was never fully completed or showcased because of World War II. During the war, the EUR suffered sever damage, but was kept and rebuilt after Roman authorities decided it could be used as an out-of-town business district. It was finally completed in 1960 for the Olympic Games.

This is a short trip in the EUR, a residential and business district in Rome, Italy, located south of the city centre. The area was originally chosen in the 1930s as the site for the 1942 world's fair which Benito Mussolini planned to open to celebrate twenty years of Fascism, the letters EUR standing for Esposizione Universale Roma. The project was originally called E42 after the year in which the exhibition was planned to be held. EUR was also designed to direct the expansion of the city towards the south-west and the sea, and to be a new city centre for Rome. The planned exhibition never took place due to World War II. Most of the area is the property of EUR S.p.A., a company jointly owned by the Ministry of Economy and the Rome municipality. In particular, in this video tou can admire two of the most notable buildings: the "Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana" (FENDI Headquarter) and the "Basilica parrocchiale dei Santi Pietro e Paolo". All this short video was realised by a micro HD drone, only 75mm large for a weight of only 70 grams
