Roermond and Hatenboer

Check out this drone video of the Dutch city of Roermond and its surroundings, compliments of contributor Dedication Photography.  It's part of the province of Limburg, which extends southeast from the main part of the Netherlands and is otherwise surrounded by Belgian and German territory.  Given its strategic location on the Meuse River, Roermond was a town of considerable importance; it played an important role in the Eighty Years' War (under which the Netherlands became independent of Spain) and later in the Napoleonic Wars.
