RING ROAD IN ICELAND | SEMI-CINEMATIC FPV

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Check out this highly cinematic first person view (FPV) drone video from Iceland, compliments of AirVuz contributor BlagaFly. The video was filmed along the island's Ring Road (aka Route 1), which circles the island over its course of 821 mi. (around 1.3k km). Starting at the :13 mark, there's an epic dive down one of Iceland's coastal mountains, and at :53 there's a heart-stopping run through a narrow canyon. At around 2:00, there's a run along one of Iceland's black sand beaches, and at 2:17 you'll skim over a glacial lagoon.

2.2 million tourists visited Iceland in year 2023 and many filmmakers travel there to capture breathtaking shots of ever changing nature on this volcanic island. There are plenty of great videos available on YouTube, so went to see and experience the Ring Road ourselves. Even though filming wasn't the focus of this trip, I did take my FPV drone and few battery packs with me. Despite strong winds and many drone restrictions in beautiful locations I used my opportunity to capture some of my favorite shots during our trip. Even though we traveled in the middle of may, you will see diverse colors of Iceland. Enjoy!
