Last X-Class race of the season... FIRST HEAT, FIRST LAP, FIRST GATE... had a bit of unlucky, but did earn the 'Best Crash' award for the day! . Piloting a Gen 1 prototype (Ostrich 2), that first gate got a bit crowded as _Krittur_ and I managed to ever so slightly mid-air each other... in the goggles, didn't even see Kelsey until he appeared from underneath me. Although the bird was done for the day after this wreck, was glad to see Krittur back in the air after a quick prop change. . That brown air-paste you see is actually SMOKE from the still out of control "CAMP" wildfire raging in Northern California; if you watched the live feed from the Event, you'll see many of the pilots wearing N95 particulate masks! (Thoughts and prayers to all those impacted, the victims, their families, and the firefighters risking everything to get the fire under control)... it was a bit surreal to be racing in thick low visibility conditions. Congrats to all of the participants/players in this endeavor we call X-Class... so very excited about next season, and the future... And, as always, enjoy the Carnage....
