Prokletije mountains

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Contributor and pilot Beautiful Montenegro created this stunning drone video of the mountains of northern Montenegro on the Balkan Peninsula. The Prokletije Mountains span portions of Montenegro as well as its neighbors Albania and the semi-autonomous republic of Kosovo. They form a part of the Dinaric Alps range which runs through the heart of the Balkans. The Prokletije are home to the highest peak in the country - Zla Kolata, which has a peak altitude of just over 2.5k meters (about 8.3k ft.).

Prokletije mountains are situated on the north of Montenegro. If you translate to english version it would be "Accursed mountains" :) Wild beauty and extraordinary peaks make this mountains real Montenegro Alps. The highest peak is "Zla Kolata" which is 2534m above sea level. The lake is called Hridsko lake and it is the highest lake in Montenegro with height of 1986 m above sea level. It is one of the most beautiful lakes in Montenegro and we dare to say in Balkan also :) There is a legend with this lake as almost with every mountain lake in Montenegro, but this one is really interesting, if you through(man) the coin in the lake you will find the women of your life :) This shoots where taken last weekend 13th July 2019
