Las Catedrales Beach is a natural monument located in the geomorphological formation known as the Cantabrian Plain, in the province of Lugo. It stretches from the town of Burela in its westernmost part to San Vicente de la Barquera in its eastern part. The Cantabrian Plain is a flat area located between the Cantabrian Sea and the mountain foothills, creating a linear coastline with beaches at the foot of cliffs and sandy areas often separated by rocky outcrops. It is also known as As Catedrais. The tide table for Las Catedrales Beach should be taken into account, as you can only benefit from your visit to Las Catedrales Beach if you visit it during a period when the sea level is falling. This will allow you to explore the narrow passages between the cliffs, crevices, and caves, and pass under its enormous arches. This period of time is determined by the physical phenomenon of the tides, so it's essential that we know the low tide forecast for the date of our visit to go down to the sand.
