Passeiertal | Val Passiria - 4K cinematic drone video

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : AirVuz contributor wdejager was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist for this excellent drone video of the Passeier Valley in northern Italy. The valley runs on a roughly north-south basis from the Timmelsjoch pass through the Ötztal Alps near the Austrian border south to the convergence of the valley's namesake river with the Adige River, Italy's second longest waterway. It's part of South Tyrol, the northernmost of the two provinces which make up the region of Trentino-Alto-Adigio.

Recently, Amber and I stayed for a week at the invitation of Siegi Augscheller at Hotel Jägerhof Südtirol, located in the beautiful Passeiertal, or Val Passiria as it is called in Italian. I made promotional videos of various activities and excursions, partly commissioned by SNP Natuurreizen. The valley is characterized by its pristine nature and countless opportunities for outdoor activities.

However, I had so much unused (drone) footage left that I decided to make an extra video in an ethereal, cinematic style. Most of the drone shots were taken with the DJI Mavic 3 Pro. The FPV shots were filmed with the new DJI Avata 2. And for the ground shots, I used the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The atmospheric music is by Tony Anderson (via MusicBed). For editing, color grading, and sound design, I used Final Cut Pro.
