Palca Canyon Bolivia

Bolivia's Palca Canyon is located near the capital city La Paz in the west central portion of this South American country. The canyon is known in part for its stunning, multicolored rock formations. Top contributor and pilot JTurner flew his DJI Mavic Pro drone around this expansive canyon, providing us with a spectacular aerial tour of a little seen area of this landlocked nation. The canyon is located just a short distance east of Lake Titicaca, another top natural site in the Andes Mountains region.

This video was filmed with the DJI Mavic Pro in the Palca Canyon located near La Paz Bolivia. I took multiple flights throughout the day and had a lot of fun exploring the canyon. The canyon was absolutely incredibly beautiful and so expansive. We booked our day trip with Solace trekking and tours. Our guide Caleb led us up the canyon. We first walked for a few miles up the main canyon and then branched off into a separate canyon that our guide Caleb first explored. We hiked, and scrambled up steep loose rock and river beads and made our way high up the canyon. Overall an incredible day. Video was edited using final cut Pro.
