PEÑA DE BERNAL EPIC

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Mexico's Peña de Bernal is one of the world's tallest monoliths, or isolated rock formations. Seen in this drone video by AirVuz contributor Vuelta Al Cielo, it's located near the village of Bernal in the state of Querétaro, near the middle of the country. It's base-to-peak height is a little over 1.4k ft., or about 433 m. Originally thought to have been formed during the Jurassic period (roughly 150-200 million years ago), recent chemical analysis now suggests that the rock was formed much later - less than 9 million years ago.
