Oulu in Dark. Finland at winter 2016-17

The year 2016-17 in the winter evenings, many people have met me in my drone flying over different locations Oulu. Sometimes it was very cold and Oulu felt the quiet and the dark of the city. However, it has shown a new, exciting and beautiful sides evenings and nights in darkness.

Many people have asked where they can see my videos. Several flight also has its own video, but this is the edit of winter flights, and the original material has about two hours.

The Oulu Market Square is the main market square of the city of Oulu, Finland.

Merikoski Power Plant is a hydroelectric power station and a dam in the Koskikeskus district in Oulu, Finland. The plant is owned by the Oulun Energia municipal enterprise of the city of Oulu.

The Oulu Railway Station is located in the centre of Oulu, Finland, in the city district of Vaara. All trains are operated by VR. Nearby is the bus station for long-distance buses.

Oulu Castle (Swedish: Uleåborgs slott, Finnish: Oulun linna) was a late defense castle in Oulu, Finland. It was built on an island in the delta of Oulu River in 1590. The castle was mostly made of wood and earth walls. There probably was an earlier medieval castle on the same site latest by 1375. The Russian Sophia Chronicle has recorded that men from Novgorod tried to conquer a new castle in the Oulu River delta in 1377 but were unsuccessful.
