Ortigia Island

The tiny island of Ortygia is just off the coast of Syracuse, Sicily, Italy. Known for its historical center, the island was transformed into a natural fortress with harbors and many inhabitants in ancient times. This aerial video by ito includes many of the island’s famous architecture including the Cathedral of Syracuse (Duomo di Siracusa), Piazza de Duomo, Piazza Archimede, and the Fountain of Arethusa.
