Old bridge

Old suspension bridge across the Altai Republic (Russia). Built in 1936 according to the project of Sergei Afanasyevich Tsaplin. The first double-chain suspension bridge in Russia. The main design feature is the original suspension bridge system based on the theory of multi-chain hanging trusses. The total length of the bridge over the flooring is 142 m, the span over the river is 100 m. The pylons of the bridge 21 meters high are swinging reinforced concrete frames. The bridge chains are thrown over the tops of the pylons and anchored in the anchor plates. Operating time: 1936-1970
